Job Description:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Dahl Memorial Healthcare, you will play a key role in assisting patients with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide quality care and contribute to improving the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, including repositioning patients as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration).
- Assist with patient hygiene and ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Report any changes in patients’ physical or mental condition to the nursing staff.
- Help with feeding, hydration, and medication reminders as directed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations.
- Ensure patient comfort and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CNA certification (or eligible for certification – will pay for certification and training).
- Previous experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented with a focus on quality care.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely.
